The Arkansas Parenting Education Network (APEN)
promotes parenting education and family support to
empower parents and caregivers to effectively interact with children.

We do this by:

• providing opportunities for networking and professional development
  
• distributing information and resources of interest to parent educators
  
• developing the infrastructure to support professional parent education

With the goal of:

• improving physical, social, and emotional outcomes for children
  
• improving academic outcomes for children
  
• reducing the likelihood of child maltreatment
  
• fostering successful children, strong families and caring communities
